I’m in Entebbe for a one-week workshop focused on developing the EAC regional curriculum framework for AI, along with discussions on AI policy and a code of conduct for education.
This workshop brings together experts, educators, and policymakers to shape how AI is taught and governed across the region. It’s an important step toward building a shared approach that reflects our local context while aligning with global standards.
A key focus is ensuring that AI education is practical, inclusive, and responsible. Beyond technical skills, there’s strong emphasis on ethics, policy, and how AI can be used in ways that benefit society.
