I’m deeply honored to have been invited as a Guest Speaker at the 2nd International Conference of Chartered Institute of Statisticians of Nigeria in Asaba. The conference focused on a timely theme: “Big Data and Analytics in Nigeria: Developing a National Data Ecosystem for Enhanced National Prosperity.”
It was a great opportunity to share experiences and engage with experts, researchers, and practitioners who are shaping the future of data across the region. The discussions highlighted how data, when properly harnessed, can support better decision-making, innovation, and inclusive growth.
One key takeaway was the importance of building strong data systems that are not only technically sound but also accessible and inclusive. A well-developed data ecosystem can play a critical role in driving national development and improving livelihoods.
I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to this important conversation and to learn from brilliant minds working at the intersection of data, policy, and development.
